Apologies for posting this late. Everything was out of sorts with the fire alarm and shortened classes. All students: did your parent fill in the response form? Bring your apron to every class. Intro Quiz: Safety, Sanitation and Equipment is on Friday February 7th.

1) Parent Response Form collected, Foods 9 Online Parent Response Form

2) Apron check. Many people forgot, please bring tomorrow.

3) Received the Foods 9: Breakfast and Quickbread Booklet (number pages starting with the cover. I will post a PDF of the Booklet in its entirety when I have a chance to scan it.

4) We read through different scenarios as a class and categorized the each factor of influence under Personal and Environmental. You can read about this in Understanding Influences on Food Choice Newsletter.

5) We then completed pages 15 and 16 in the new booklet. As this is an in class assignment, students may work on during ESS block or after their quiz on Friday.

2) Our Food Journey: Students brainstormed how others have been part of and influenced our food journey. Categories we might want to write about: Family, Friends, School, Media (Cooking Shows & Influencers), Restaurants, Celebrations, and Favourites. You do not need to use every category here, they are prompts. We will have additional time to work on this after our quiz on Friday.
