2024-09-15 Intro Quiz Reminder

Just a reminder that there will be an intro quiz tomorrow, Monday, Sept 16. It will be multiple choice and cover safety, sanitation, kitchen equipment and measurement.

Pinetree Cookies were demonstrated by Ms. Jackson on Thursday with the accompanying Foods Lab Plan. You will have the opportunity to repeat this task for future labs. Making Pinetree Cookies allowed us to review basic measurement and how to work in the foods lab. Students who were absent are welcome to make up the lab at home under the supervision of a parent or guardian (for credit if you have them complete a Make Up Lab Form and take photos) but it is not required. We will be comparing the "pancake" recipes we have made next week in preparation for a "Choose your own adventure" project.

Homework: Try to fill in the Foods Lab Plans for both the Banana Pancakes and French Crepes. We will review them on Monday together. This is an important skill for future labs without demonstrations. Enjoy your long weekend. Tomorrow is free admission day at Science World if you are looking for something to do.
